Join the Band

Make some noise.

Bagpipes. Drums. Good company.

Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time, returning to playing or looking for a local band, you are welcome at Armidale Pipe Band. We welcome beginners and experienced pipers and drummers.

Come along on a Monday

Johnstone Hall, St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 137 Faulkner Street, Armidale (opposite Central Park)

Learner tuition: 5:30 pm
Band practice: 6:45 pm

Come along — no need to book.

Learn the pipes or drums

No musical experience is needed to get started. Meet the band, see the instruments and talk with us about learning. We can explain the first steps, and the band lends learners everything they need, from practice chanters and drumsticks to pipes, drums and uniform.

Already play?

We would love to hear from experienced players, including those returning after a break. Join us at band practice to meet the players and find out how you can get involved.
